Open Series workstations leave the rolltop off. The rack bays are vertical and open, the sides are accessible and the whole unit sits on heavy-duty casters, which suits a room where equipment is patched and re-patched through the day. Access is closed model by model rather than by one tambour over the whole worksurface: the #17029 shuts its rack behind a hinged locking door on the audience side, and the #20002 uses soft-drop doors.
The series covers presentation and production positions - the #17029 presentation workstation, the #20002 and #22070 workstations, the #23014 and the custom rack/workstation #23001 - and is generally specified per job, built around the equipment schedule for a particular room rather than from a fixed option list.
